OUR HISTORY

 

The Felicity Church of the Nazarene, formerly Smith’s Landing Methodist Church, was moved from the banks of the Ohio River near Rural to Felicity and rebuilt.

 

Regular church services were first held October 5, 1923. Our District Superintendent, the Reverend Mr. H. B. Herrell, dedicated the church.

 

There were 11 charter members, all now deceased. They were Elmer Norris, J. J. Bolender, Herbert & Gertrude Bolender, Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Gee, Birdie & Mary Glass, George and Carrie Tamplin & Lucy Tamplin.
